Willie Nelson's New Album Features Heartfelt Track "Keep Me In Your Heart"

Willie Nelson's album "Last Leaf on the Tree" which released November 1, 2024, features new track "Keep Me In Your Heart." The song, written by Warren Zevon and Jorge Calderon, was recommended for inclusion by Willie's longtime harmonica player, Mickey Raphael.

Produced by Willie's son Micah Nelson, who also curated the album, "Keep Me In Your Heart" showcases Willie's distinctive vocals and his iconic guitar, Trigger. The track features additional musical contributions from John Densmore on drums, Daniel Lanois on pedal steel guitar, and Mickey Raphael on harmonica.

"Last Leaf on the Tree" marks Willie Nelson's 76th solo studio album and 153rd album overall, demonstrating his enduring presence in the music industry. Micah Nelson, as the album's producer, identifies a thematic through-line of "facing death with grace" in the project, which includes both covers and original songs.
