Waylon Wyatt Releases Romantic New Single "I'd Be Delighted"
Waylon Wyatt, the 18-year-old country music sensation from Hackett, Arkansas, has released his latest single "I'd Be Delighted" through Music Soup/Darkroom Records on February 21, 2025. This new track showcases Wyatt's evolving artistry, blending his signature folk-country sound with poignant lyrics that explore themes of attraction and devotion.
In "I'd Be Delighted," Wyatt's raw, emotive vocals shine as he sings about being captivated by a woman's beauty and his eagerness to pursue a relationship with her. The song's chorus, "I'd be delighted to be your man / Show up at your doorstep with flowers in hand," encapsulates the earnest, romantic tone of the piece.
The song's narrative revolves around intense romantic admiration, brought to life through vivid imagery and honest emotion. Standout lyrics like "Dear how you shimmer n' shine in that dress" and "Gets me going in a way I can't explain, nor confess" showcase Wyatt's talent for crafting authentic, soulful and earnest stories.
This release follows Wyatt's successful debut EP, "Til The Sun Goes Down," which was released in 2024 and has since amassed over 40 million combined streams across platforms. The EP included his breakout hits "Arkansas Diamond" and "Everything Under The Sun," which initially garnered attention on TikTok before achieving widespread popularity.
In addition to "I'd Be Delighted," Wyatt also released "Sunday Supper" as a single on January 17, 2025 in collaboration with Bayker Blankeship, further expanding his growing discography. As he continues to tour and create music, Wyatt is quickly establishing himself as a prominent figure in the new wave of country artists, drawing comparisons to established stars while carving out his own unique place in the genre.
While pursuing his musical career, Wyatt maintains his academic commitments as a high school senior, anticipating graduation in April 2025. His inaugural headlining venture, the "Til The Sun Goes Down Tour," aligns with his spring break schedule. The tour begins March 14 in Toronto, ON, featuring performances across major cities including Nashville, TN, and Los Angeles, CA, before concluding in New York, NY, on June 3.
