Tyler Rich Explores Sacrifice with New Single "Give Up To Get It"
Tyler Rich, the country music artist from Northern California, has released his latest single "Give Up To Get It" on January 10, 2025, as part of his commitment to release new music every month in 2025. The track, co-written with Steven Lee Olsen and Blake Bollinger, explores the theme of sacrifices made in pursuit of dreams and career aspirations.
Rich describes the song as a tribute to those who work away from home, stating, "It's about the sacrifices we make when we're dedicated to a dream or career. It's something anyone working away from home can relate to—whether you're a musician, a truck driver, a soldier, or a healthcare worker". The mid-tempo track highlights both the emotional costs and fulfilling highs of pursuing a career away from home.
"Give Up To Get It" follows Rich's previous 2024 releases, including "All the Small Things" and "Home We Choose," all of which will feature on his upcoming full-length project. Rich's musical journey began in his hometown, where he developed a love for music around the Christmas tree, singing holiday classics and Creedence Clearwater Revival with his family.
After graduating college with a degree in Economics, Rich moved to Los Angeles to pursue music, exploring various genres before embarking on a solo career. Since then, he has amassed nearly half a billion global streams and notched three No. 1 hits on SiriusXM's The Highway with his debut album "TWO THOUSAND MILES" (The Valory Music Co.), featuring the GOLD-certified "The Difference".
Rich's discography includes his debut album "Two Thousand Miles" (2020) and several EPs, including "Valerie" (2015) and "Tyler Rich EP" (2018). He has also collaborated with other artists, such as his 2022 duet with Canadian singer-songwriter Marie-Mai on "Thinkin' We're In Love".
Fans can hear Tyler's latest music live on his upcoming Hello California Tour, kicking off in March 2025 with stops across California and Oregon.
