Ty Myers Announces Debut Album "The Select" with New Track "Can't Hold Me Down"
Ty Myers released "Can't Hold Me Down" on December 6, 2024, as the latest single from his upcoming debut album "The Select." The track showcases Myers' signature blend of traditional country storytelling with blues-influenced instrumentation, featuring lyrics about a rambling man who can't be tied down despite finding love.
"The Select," set for release on January 24, 2025, via RECORDS Nashville/Columbia Records, will feature 16 tracks produced by Brandon Hood and Tommy Detamore. Myers wrote 12 of the songs solo, with additional writing contributions from notable artists including John Mayer, Jessi Alexander, and Rhett Akins. The album's title pays tribute to Le Select, a Parisian brasserie frequented by Ernest Hemingway, one of Myers' literary influences.
Throughout 2024, Myers has released several successful singles including "Ends of the Earth," "Drinkin' Alone," and "Worry Is A Sickness." His EP "Ends of the Earth" has garnered significant attention, with the title track and "Drinkin' Alone" accumulating over 30 million Spotify streams.
At just 17 years old, Myers hails from Dripping Springs, Texas, where he grew up on a 450-acre cattle ranch. He chose homeschooling to pursue his music career, dedicating himself entirely to writing and performing. His breakthrough came in 2023 when his single "Tie That Binds" went viral on TikTok, leading to a competitive signing with RECORDS Nashville/Columbia Records.
Myers currently averages nine million streams per week and recently completed his sold-out "Let 'Em Talk Tour." He has shared stages with prominent artists including Willie Nelson, Cody Johnson, and Wade Bowen. His remaining 2024 performances include shows at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.
