The War And Treaty, the powerhouse country music duo consisting of husband and wife Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, have released their latest single "Save Me" on January 10, 2025. This new track serves as a preview for their highly anticipated album "Plus One," set to be released on February 14, 2025, via Mercury Nashville.
"Save Me" showcases The War And Treaty's signature blend of country, soul, and gospel influences. In this heartfelt ballad, Michael and Tanya express a plea for love and redemption, finding salvation through their deep connection.
"Plus One" marks a significant milestone in The War And Treaty's career, being their fourth full-length album and their first release with Mercury Nashville. The 18-track record was primarily produced by Michael Trotter Jr. and recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The album showcases a diverse range of musical elements, including gospel, bluegrass, contemporary country, classic soul, symphonic pop, and folk-rock.
The upcoming album features collaborations with several notable artists and producers. "Love Like Whiskey," co-written with Miranda Lambert, is described as a soul-soothing portrait of a love strong enough to overcome any obstacle. Another track, "Drink From Me," features virtuoso guitarist Billy Strings. The album also includes production contributions from Jonathan Singleton, John Shanks, and Jesse Frasure, known for their work with various country and pop artists.
