Sierra Ferrell Revisits "The Garden" with Expanded Release

Sierra Ferrell, the West Virginia-born singer-songwriter, has begun 2025 with a captivating new release. On January 3rd, Ferrell unveiled an expanded arrangement of "The Garden," a song that initially appeared on the soundtrack for "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes". This new version is part of the upcoming deluxe edition of her acclaimed 2024 album "Trail of Flowers," set to be released on January 31st, 2025.

"The Garden" showcases Ferrell's remarkable ability to weave intricate metaphors into her songwriting. The track draws parallels between the cyclical nature of seasons and the ebb and flow of relationships, creating a poignant narrative that resonates deeply with listeners. The expanded arrangement enhances the original composition with the addition of pedal steel, piano, percussion, and strings, amplifying the emotional impact of Ferrell's haunting vocals.

Ferrell's unique blend of country, jazz, and old-time music caught the attention of Rounder Records, who signed her in 2019. Since then, she has been making waves in the Americana and country music scenes. Her 2024 album "Trail of Flowers" has earned her four Grammy nominations, including Best Americana Album and Best American Roots Performance for "Lighthouse".

The deluxe edition of "Trail of Flowers" will feature not only the expanded version of "The Garden" but also Ferrell's take on the classic bluegrass tune "Don't Let Your Deal Go Down". This addition further showcases Ferrell's versatility and deep connection to traditional American music forms.

Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be an exciting year for Sierra Ferrell. She is set to make her headline debut at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre and will be joining Post Malone and Jelly Roll on "The Big Ass Stadium Tour".
