Preston Cooper Releases Sophomore Single "One More Place I've Never Been"

Preston Cooper, a 21-year-old country music newcomer from Fredericktown, Ohio, has released his latest single, "One More Place I've Never Been," through The Valory Music Co., a division of Big Machine Label Group, LLC, on February 21, 2025. This release follows his debut single "Weak," which was launched on January 31, 2025, marking a strong start to his professional music career.

"One More Place I've Never Been" showcases Cooper's powerful vocals and storytelling abilities. The song is described as hypnotizing, drawing listeners in from the first lyrics. It tells a captivating story, with lyrics such as "In your heart, in your soul // In your car tomorrow morning // 'Cause you ain't never coming home // Where you go in your mind when he pulls you close // And you look that way at him // Is one more place I've never been".

Cooper's journey in music began in high school when he first picked up a guitar as a freshman. He soon discovered his natural talent for singing and songwriting, which set him on a unique creative path4. After graduating, Cooper joined the U.S. Postal Service, earning the nickname "The Singing Mailman" as he would sing while walking up to 14 miles a day on his mail route.

Cooper's music blends country grit with a smoky alt-rock edge and a hint of blues, creating a unique sound that sets him apart in the country music scene. His influences include artists like Chris Stapleton, Bob Seger, and Teddy Swims, contributing to his soulful and blues-inspired vocal style.

The young artist's talent caught the attention of hit-making legends Brad and Brett Warren, who discovered Cooper at a Toledo songwriter's round. This encounter led to Cooper making trips to Nashville to write and record, before eventually moving to Music City in 2024.

Cooper's debut single, "Weak," co-written with Lance Miller, Brad Warren, and Brett Warren, was released on January 31, 2025. The song showcases Cooper's powerhouse vocals and songwriting prowess, blending raw power with emotional vulnerability.

In addition to his singles, Cooper has signed a joint publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music and The Warren Brothers. He has also been collaborating with established Nashville songwriters such as Ernest, Brett James, and Lee Thomas Miller.

Cooper's rising profile in the country music scene has led to exciting opportunities. He is set to join Riley Green on select dates of the Damn Country Music Tour starting June 12, 2025, including a performance at the prestigious Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Additionally, he will be playing shows with Kameron Marlowe on the Keepin' the Lights On Tour, beginning March 28, 2025.

As Preston Cooper continues to make waves in the country music industry, his powerful vocals, songwriting skills, and unique sound position him as an artist to watch in the coming years.
