Paul Cauthen Reveals New Track 'Lavender Jones'

Paul Cauthen's new track "Lavender Jones" released on October 25, 2024 as part of his album "Black on Black" via Anemoia Records/Atlantic Records.

The album, including "Lavender Jones," was primarily recorded at Rosewood Studios in Tyler, Texas, with longtime collaborator Jason Burt, known for his work with John Mayer and Leon Bridges.

Paul Cauthen, nicknamed "Big Velvet" for his distinctive baritone voice, has established himself in the country and Americana music scene. His career began as part of the roots duo Sons of Fathers before he launched his solo career with the album "My Gospel."

Cauthen has since released "Room 41" and "Country Coming Down," and has shared stages with artists such as Margo Price, Orville Peck, and Cody Jinks.
