Neon Union Lights Up Country Music with New Single "Helluva High"
Neon Union, the dynamic country music duo comprising Leo Brooks and Andrew Millsaps, has released their latest track "Helluva High" on January 10, 2025. This new single is part of their highly anticipated debut album "Good Years," set to release on January 31, 2025, through Red Street Records.
"Helluva High" follows a string of successful releases from Neon Union in 2024, including "Alright Where She Left Me" in November and "Good Years" in September. These singles, along with their previous releases like "Made In Mexico" and "Luck Don't Live Around Here," have helped establish their presence in the country music landscape.
Neon Union's journey began when they were introduced by actor/singer/songwriter Aaron Benward in 2021. The pair bonded immediately, describing their meeting as "a God thing". They signed with Jay DeMarcus's Red Street Records, a decision that has proven fruitful for their career.
The duo's unique blend of styles is evident in their music, which marries 808 kick drums with traditional country lyrics and anthemic pop melodies. This distinctive sound has quickly garnered attention in the country music scene, earning them an ACM nomination for New Duo/Group of the Year in 2024 and a spot as Billboard's Rookie of the Month.
The duo's debut EP, "Double Wide Castle Sessions," released in 2023, was recorded live at the famed Castle Recording Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. With all five songs cut in one day with a full band, this unique approach to recording impressed even their producer, the legendary Dan Huff.
