Neon Union Releases Debut Album "Good Years" Featuring Track "Fall For Me"
Neon Union, the country music duo consisting of Leo Brooks and Andrew Millsaps, has released their highly anticipated debut album "Good Years" on January 31, 2025. The album features 12 tracks, including their new song "Fall For Me," which showcases the duo's harmonious blend of traditional country lyrics and upbeat pop melodies.
"Fall For Me," written by Bobby Pinson, Ben West, and Justin Wilson, is one of the standout tracks on the album. The song exemplifies Neon Union's unique sound, which combines Brooks' Miami-influenced musical background with Millsaps' North Carolina roots. This fusion of styles has been a hallmark of their music since they first joined forces in 2022.
The release of "Good Years" marks a significant milestone for Neon Union, who have been making waves in the country music scene since their formation. The album was produced by Dann Huff and Jay DeMarcus, with additional contributions from Brandon Hood. It features a mix of previously released tracks such as "Bout Damn Time," "Alright Where She Left Me," and their most recent single "Helluva High."
Leo Brooks brings a diverse musical background to Neon Union, having collaborated with artists like Pitbull, Lauryn Hill, Jennifer Lopez, and John Legend before transitioning to country music. Andrew Millsaps, on the other hand, has been writing songs since he was 13 years old, honing his craft in the country music tradition. This blend of experiences contributes to their distinctive sound, which they describe as "808 kick drums married to a traditional country lyric and anthemic pop melodies".
Since signing with Jay DeMarcus' Red Street Records in 2022, Neon Union has achieved several notable accomplishments. They earned their first ACM nomination for New Duo/Group of the Year, were named Billboard's Rookie of the Month, and have performed at high-profile events such as the ACMs and CMA Fest. The duo has also opened for established acts like HARDY, Scotty McCreery, and Pitbull, further solidifying their place in the country music landscape.
Prior to the release of "Good Years," Neon Union had already made an impact with their EP "Double Wide Castle Sessions" in 2023, which was recorded live at the famed Castle Recording Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. This EP showcased their ability to perform live with a full band, a process that impressed even their producer, Dan Huff.
As Neon Union continues to gain recognition in the country music world, their debut album "Good Years" serves as a testament to their journey and musical growth. With tracks like "Fall For Me" and others on the album, the duo aims to connect with listeners through their experiences and memories, as expressed by Andrew Millsaps: "This album is full of experiences and memories of all the Good Years in the rearview. We hope everyone connects with these songs as much as we do. Here's to all the Good Years to come!"
