Ned LeDoux Releases "One Hand In The Riggin" Featuring Unreleased Vocals from Late Father Chris LeDoux

Ned LeDoux has released "One Hand In The Riggin'," a new track featuring a previously unreleased vocal recording by his late father, Chris LeDoux. The song, which debuted on December 5, 2024, marks Ned's first release since his 2022 album "Buckskin."

"One Hand In The Riggin'" combines elements of a lonesome road song with a cowboy country tune, reflecting themes of perseverance and the rodeo lifestyle. The lyrics include lines such as "If I keep one hand in the riggin' and one hand on the wheel / No matter how far down the road I go, there's always one more rodeo."

The track holds special significance as it's the last song Chris LeDoux ever recorded, captured in 2003. Ned collaborated on this project with producer Mac McAnally, while the song was written by one of its original collaborators, Brenn Hill.

Ned LeDoux, who transitioned from drumming in his father's band Western Underground to becoming a lead artist after Chris's passing in 2005, continues to honor his father's legacy through this collaboration. Chris LeDoux was an ACM Pioneer Award winner and a World Champion bareback rider inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame.

In support of the new release, Ned LeDoux has announced several upcoming tour dates.
