Ned LeDoux Releases New Track "Boys Growing Up" Ahead of Upcoming Album
Ned LeDoux has released his new single "Boys Growing Up" on January 31, 2025. This release comes as part of LeDoux's ongoing efforts to carry on his family's musical legacy while forging his own path in the country music scene.
"Boys Growing Up" is a nostalgic tribute to LeDoux's childhood and his relationships with his siblings. In a social media post, LeDoux shared his enthusiasm for the song, stating, "I just love this song. It kind of reminds me of me and my brothers when we were kids. Even though we're all grown up and we have kids of our own, it seems every time we all get back together, we're just like kids again". The track captures the essence of childhood memories and the enduring bonds of brotherhood.
This new single is not just a standalone release but also serves as a preview for LeDoux's upcoming fifth studio album, "Safe Haven," scheduled for release on April 4, 2025. The album's title holds a deeply personal meaning for LeDoux, as it is named after his daughter Haven Jo, who tragically passed away in 2019 at the age of two.
LeDoux's musical journey began long before his solo career. He started playing drums at the age of six and joined his first band, Cowtown, at 14. In 1998, at the age of 21, he became the drummer for his father's band, Western Underground, a role he continued until Chris LeDoux's passing in 2005. This early exposure to the music industry and his father's influence laid the foundation for Ned's eventual transition to a solo artist.
In December 2024, LeDoux released "One Hand In The Riggin'," a duet with his late father, Chris LeDoux. This collaboration, which used previously unreleased vocals from Chris, showcased the striking similarity between their voices and served as a touching tribute to his father's legacy.
Ned LeDoux's discography includes three studio albums: "Sagebrush" (2017), "Next in Line" (2019), and "Buckskin" (2022). His music is known for its blend of traditional country sounds with a modern edge, often featuring themes of cowboy life and western heritage, reflecting his upbringing on a ranch near Kaycee, Wyoming.
As he continues to build his career, LeDoux remains committed to honoring his father's memory while establishing his own identity in country music. With the release of "Boys Growing Up" and the forthcoming "Safe Haven" album, Ned LeDoux is poised to further cement his place in the country music landscape, carrying forward a rich musical tradition while adding his own unique voice to the genre.
