Morgan Wallen Unveils "Love Somebody," Blending Country and Pop with a Latin Twist

Morgan Wallen has released "Love Somebody," the second single from his upcoming fourth studio album, on October 18, 2024. The track, produced by Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome, was co-written by Wallen alongside John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Elof Loelv, and Ryan Vojtesak.

"Love Somebody" explores themes of searching for genuine love, expressing a longing for a meaningful relationship free from heartbreak and pain. The lyrics touch on feelings of betrayal and the desire to move beyond casual encounters.

This new release marks a departure for Wallen, both lyrically and sonically, incorporating Latin-leaning influences. Early reviews describe "Love Somebody" as a heartbreak song with fresh packaging, noting its pop-friendly radio appeal while maintaining country elements such as steel guitar in the chorus. Critics have praised the song's unique instrumental break and its blend of country and pop influences.

The track's release coincides with the conclusion of Wallen's "One Night At A Time 2024 Tour," which included a historic two-night run at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee, where Wallen became the first artist to perform for two nights at the venue.

Looking ahead, Wallen has announced the Sand In My Boots Music Festival, scheduled for May 16-18, 2025, in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Further details about the festival's lineup and other aspects are yet to be announced.
