Matt Oakley Ignites Country Music Scene with "Fire & Water" from Upcoming Debut Album

Matt Oakley, a rising country music artist, released his new single "Fire & Water" on January 17, 2025. The song, co-written by Oakley, David Ray Stevens, and Brandon Hartt, produced by David Ray Stevens and Philip Mosley, explores the theme of opposites attracting in relationships. The track features acoustic-led instrumentation that complements Oakley's voice, allowing him to convey the awestruck realization of how contrasting personalities can fit together perfectly.

"Fire & Water" is part of Oakley's highly anticipated debut album "Outside Looking In," scheduled for release on April 4, 2025. This album follows a series of successful single releases throughout 2024, including "Can't Take The Dogs," "Single This Summer," and "Party on 95," which have helped build anticipation for his full-length record.

Oakley's musical journey began during his college years in South Carolina, where he started making music seriously. Growing up in a military family, he spent his early years moving along the East Coast before settling into his musical career. His sound is a blend of Modern Country, Country Rock, and Country-Pop, with a strong emphasis on storytelling in his lyrics. Oakley cites artists such as Riley Green, Cody Johnson, and Morgan Wallen as inspirations for his songwriting style.

In 2023, Oakley gained significant attention with releases like "The Richest Man I Knew" and "The Whiskey Does". His approach to songwriting involves making each song unique, utilizing various instruments and sounds to create distinct tracks.

Oakley's rise in the country music scene has been marked by notable performances, including his appearance at the Carolina Country Music Festival, where he played the Blue Moon Stage. He is also scheduled to perform as part of the 2025 Presidential Inaugural events.
