Larry Fleet Releases "Hard Work And Holy Water" as Lead Single for 2025 Tour
Larry Fleet, the Tennessee-born country troubadour, has unveiled his latest single, "Hard Work And Holy Water." Released on February 13, 2025, this track serves as the debut release for his Hard Work & Holy Water Tour, which kicked off the same day in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Fleet co-wrote "Hard Work And Holy Water" with acclaimed songwriters Luke Laird and Barry Dean, crafting a deeply personal narrative that resonates with his own life experiences. The song encapsulates Fleet's journey as an independent artist, reflecting the challenges and triumphs he's faced in his career. "I'm where I'm at in life and my career because of a whole lotta hard work and even more holy water," Fleet shares, emphasizing the song's autobiographical nature. The chorus resonates deeply with its straightforward declaration: "What I got is all I need / You damn right I believe in / Hard work and holy water."
Known for his unique blend of modern country and classic influences, Fleet's musical background is as diverse as it is rich. Growing up in White Bluff, Tennessee, he was exposed to a wide array of musical styles from an early age. His great-grandfather and great-uncle were members of a bluegrass band called the Happy Two, which Fleet joined at the tender age of six. This early exposure to bluegrass, combined with influences ranging from Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson to Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye, has shaped Fleet's distinctive sound.
Fleet's journey to country music stardom began in earnest when Jake Owen discovered him performing cover songs at a wedding in 2017. This chance encounter led to Fleet opening for Owen and competing on the USA Network's singing competition, Real Country, where he placed second. His breakthrough came with the release of his single "Where I Find God" in 2020, which charted on the Billboard Country Airplay charts and established Fleet as a formidable talent in the country music scene.
Throughout his career, Fleet has released several albums, including "Workin' Hard" (2019), "Stack of Records" (2021), and "Earned It" (2023). His music consistently draws praise for its authenticity and emotional depth, with Saving Country Music declaring, "If you're looking for the future of traditional country music, then look no further than Larry Fleet".
As Fleet embarks on his Hard Work & Holy Water Tour, he's also working on new music with producer Trent Willmon. This tour, featuring special guest Everette, promises to be a showcase of Fleet's evolving artistry and his commitment to creating music that resonates with his audience.
