Kip Moore Releases New Single "Bad Spot" Ahead of Upcoming Album "Solitary Tracks"

Kip Moore, the multi-platinum country singer-songwriter from Georgia, has released a new single titled "Bad Spot" on January 10, 2025. The track is part of Moore's highly anticipated studio album, "Solitary Tracks," set to be released on February 28, 2025, through Virgin Music Group. This new album marks a significant milestone in Moore's career, featuring an expansive collection of 23 songs split across four sides.
"Bad Spot," described as a dreamy, piano-led confession, reveals a weathered soul finally growing up. The song, written by Casey Beathard, showcases Moore's ability to convey raw emotion and introspection through his music.
"Solitary Tracks" is being hailed as Moore's most ambitious project to date, co-produced by Moore himself alongside Jaren Johnston, with additional production by Oscar Charles and Jay Joyce. The album's first half is said to acknowledge Moore's solitary place, while the second part celebrates the start of a new phase in his life and career.
Prior to "Bad Spot," Moore had been teasing fans with a series of new releases that provided glimpses into his evolving sound. These included "Live Here to Work," which Billboard described as "blistering," and "Learning As I Go," characterized by Whiskey Riff as "gritty, rough, and rowdy".
Moore's musical journey began in his hometown of Tifton, Georgia, where he developed a love for music at an early age. After moving to Nashville in 2004, he spent eight years honing his craft before signing with MCA Nashville. His breakthrough came with the release of his debut album "Up All Night" in 2012, which featured the chart-topping single "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck".
Throughout his career, Moore has consistently pushed the boundaries of country music, blending elements of rock and Americana into his sound. His dedication to authenticity and storytelling has earned him a devoted fanbase both in the United States and internationally, culminating in his receipt of the 2024 CMA International Artist Achievement Award.
As Moore prepares for the release of "Solitary Tracks," he remains committed to his artistic vision. "I'm never going to cheat by just trying to write what I think people want to hear, or hold onto a sound that worked for me," Moore stated, emphasizing his dedication to authenticity in his music. With this new album, Kip Moore continues to solidify his position as one of country music's most thoughtful and innovative artists.
