Kameron Marlowe Unveils "If You Stay" From New Album "Sad Songs For The Soul"

Kameron Marlowe, the rising country music star from Kannapolis, North Carolina, has released the captivating final track, "If You Stay", completing his latest album "Sad Songs For The Soul". Unveiled on February 21, 2025, this emotional composition pairs Marlowe's distinctive vocals with the polished production work of Ben West.

"If You Stay" serves as the closing track on Marlowe's 10-song concept album, which explores the depths of heartbreak and emotional turmoil. The song stands out with its rich instrumentation and "Countrypolitan-inspired" arrangement, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the album's predominantly melancholic themes.

Marlowe's journey in the music industry began at a young age, singing in church at 10 and later becoming a worship leader. His passion for country music was ignited by listening to legends like Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard with his grandfather. After a stint on NBC's "The Voice" in 2018, where he reached the Top 24, Marlowe relocated to Nashville to pursue a songwriting career.

"Sad Songs For The Soul" marks a departure from Marlowe's previous work, fully embracing the "sad boy country" genre. The album features a mix of original compositions and covers, including his rendition of Cam's "Burning House". Other notable tracks include "Hello Whiskey", co-written with Kendell Marvel and Phil O'Donnell, and "How's the Leaving Going", a collaboration with Vince Gill and Lee Thomas Miller.

In 2019, Marlowe independently released his debut single, "Giving You Up", which garnered significant attention and amassed over 15 million streams. This success led to a management deal and a publishing contract with Sony Music Publishing. In 2020, he signed with Columbia Nashville and released his debut album, "We Were Cowboys", in 2022.

Marlowe's musical style blends traditional country sounds with a modern edge, showcasing his powerful vocals and storytelling abilities. His sophomore album, "Keepin' the Lights On", released in 2024, was met with critical acclaim and further established his place in the country music scene.
