Jamey Johnson Releases First Solo Studio Album in 14 Years, with title track "Midnight Gasoline"

Jamey Johnson releases his new album "Midnight Gasoline" on November 8, 2024, marking his first new solo studio album in 14 years. The album, which includes the title track "Midnight Gasoline," was recorded over three weeks at the Cash Cabin Studios in Hendersonville, TN.

The production of "Midnight Gasoline" was split between two teams. The first half of the album was produced and performed by elements of Johnson's touring band, including Wayd Battle, Tom Bukovac, T.W. Cargile, Kevin "Swine" Grant, "Cowboy" Eddie Long, Dave McAfee, James Mitchell, Chris Powell, and Jim "Moose" Brown. The second half was produced by Dave Cobb.

The title track "Midnight Gasoline" was written by Scotty Emerick, Dean Dillon, and Jeff Hyde. The album also features collaborations with artists such as Randy Houser, Chris Stapleton, and Tony Joe White on other tracks.

Johnson describes the album as a collection of songs that are "glimpses of my life," including funny stories and personal reflections.

"Midnight Gasoline" is part of a series of albums to be recorded at the Cash Cabin Studios, known as the "Cash Cabin Series." This release follows Johnson's previous critically acclaimed albums "That Lonesome Song" and "The Guitar Song."
