Jamey Johnson has contributed a rendition of "Let's Go Dancing" as part of a comprehensive living tribute project titled "Let's Go Dancing: A Celebration of Kevn Kinney" arranged by Kinney's wife, Anna Jensen. This track is featured on the second of four albums in the series, "Split a Mountain in Two With a Flake of Snow. "
The tribute series, which will see albums released quarterly, encompasses a total of 100 songs celebrating Kinney's legacy. Kinney, known for his thought-provoking and soul-stirring compositions, has created music that spans genres and includes both high-energy and tender themes over his 40-year career.
Johnson's version of "Let's Go Dancing" appears on the second album, which features a country and roots-focused collection of covers, and showcases the impact of Kinney's music on various artists across different musical styles.
Johnson, an eleven-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter from Enterprise, Alabama, has been hailed by The Washington Post as "one of the greatest country singers of our time."
