Ian Munsick Releases "Horses Not Hearts" Ahead of Upcoming Album "Eagle Feather"

Ian Munsick, the Wyoming-born country music artist, has released a new track, "Horses Not Hearts," as part of his upcoming album "Eagle Feather." The song, released on February 21, 2025, masterfully blends traditional country storytelling with authentic cowboy culture, capturing the essence of modern country music.

"Horses Not Hearts" aims to challenge the common trope of cowboys being portrayed as heartbreakers. Munsick explains, "All the best cowboys I know are men of character. People that you'd want as your neighbor," emphasizing his desire to set the record straight about the true nature of cowboys.

The upcoming album "Eagle Feather," set to release on April 18, 2025, will feature 20 tracks, including collaborations with artists like Lainey Wilson and Cleto Cordero of Flatland Cavalry. Musick explains "'Eagle Feather' is a tribute to a sacred way of life. One that epitomizes the voice of country music, yet is rarely heard among the masses," further sharing his deep connection in the album's concept "Every one of these 20 songs is rooted in true, personal experiences that have helped create the man I am today."

The new album follows Munsick's sophomore release "White Buffalo" (2023), which inspired a documentary film titled "White Buffalo: Voices of the West".

Munsick's musical journey began at a young age, growing up in a ranching family where music played a significant role. He started performing with his father and two older brothers as The Munsick Boys at the age of 10, which laid the foundation for his unique sound. This early exposure to music and the Western lifestyle has heavily influenced his artistic direction.

Throughout his career, Munsick has achieved significant milestones. He has accumulated nearly 1 billion global streams and has been named an "Artist to Watch" by platforms like Spotify and CMT. His previous singles "Long Haul" and "Long Live Cowgirls" (featuring Cody Johnson) have both achieved RIAA Gold certification.

Munsick's music consistently pays homage to his Western roots while pushing the boundaries of contemporary country. He describes his sound as "a firm handshake between traditional and modern country music" with the artist sharing "I’ve been influenced by everyone from Eminem to Blink-182 to George Jones."

As he prepares for the release of "Eagle Feather," Munsick continues to tour, headlining his spring 2025 Horses Are Faster Tour. This new album and tour further solidify his position as a rising star in country music, bringing a fresh perspective to the genre while honoring the traditions of the American West.
