Grace Tyler Releases New Single "She Wasn't Crazy" Ahead of Debut EP "Everything I Didn't Say"
Grace Tyler, a rising country music star from Frisco, Texas, has released a powerful new track, "She Wasn't Crazy," as part of her upcoming debut EP "Everything I Didn't Say." The song, released on February 15, 2025, pairs Tyler's commanding vocals with raw, unfiltered lyrics that challenge the narrative of labeling former partners as "crazy" after relationships end.
Through "She Wasn't Crazy," Tyler masterfully dismantles the unfair characterizations often faced by women in the aftermath of relationships. The track, penned by Ben Foster, Grace Tyler, and Averie Bielski, addresses themes of gaslighting and personal accountability head-on. "I realized after going through a breakup that a man who tells you all of his exes are crazy is probably the problem," Tyler shared in an interview. "If you've ever been on the receiving end of that gaslighting BS, this song is for you."
Tyler, who began her musical journey at a young age in Texas, has been making waves in the country music scene since her move to Nashville. She started performing at local venues in Frisco at the age of 14, and by 16, she had already won music competitions and caught the attention of Nashville music executives. Her journey led her to Belmont University in Nashville, where she graduated in May 2023, allowing her to pursue music full-time.
"She Wasn't Crazy" is the fourth single from Tyler's debut EP, which is set to drop on March 14, 2025. The song, co-written by Tyler alongside Ben Foster and Averie Bielski, addresses the gaslighting often experienced in relationships. Her powerful vocals, often compared to those of Carrie Underwood, deliver the message with a punch, showcasing her growth as both a vocalist and a songwriter.
The upcoming EP promises to be a raw and real exploration of the emotions that come with a relationship's end. In addition to "She Wasn't Crazy," the tracklist includes songs like "I Don't Wanna Know," "Weak Man," and "I Hope You Have a Daughter," all co-written by Tyler. This project follows her previous releases, including the viral hit "My Mistake," which amassed over 4.8 million digital streams.
Tyler's journey in the music industry has already seen her sharing stages with established country stars. She has performed alongside Lee Brice, who became a mentor and co-produced two of her songs, "Bad Boy" and "Cowboys & Tequila," in the summer of 2022. She has also performed with other notable artists such as Parker McCollum, Chase Matthew, Martina McBride, and Scotty McCreery.
"She Wasn't Crazy" has garnered significant attention from prominent country music platforms like Country Central and Raised Rowdy, while also building momentum on TikTok through Tyler's engaged social media presence. The artist's career continues to accelerate, with upcoming performances scheduled at the Lonestar Smokeout 2025 in Dallas, TX, following her successful first tour opening for Shane Smith and the Saints.
