Flatland Cavalry Drops New Track "Homesteady (Home Demo)"

Flatland Cavalry has released a new track titled "Homesteady (Home Demo)" on December 25, 2024. This release comes as part of their ongoing musical journey that began a decade ago.

This latest track was featured on the popular TV series Yellowstone a few weeks before its official release. The song was written by Jeremy Spillman, Josh Desure, and Cleto Cordero. It was recorded in Cordero's living room and features a dobro guitar riff played by Kurt Ozan.

The lyrics of "Homesteady (Home Demo)" collectively paint a picture of someone grappling with change, yearning for stability, and finding solace in a connection to the land and a simpler way of life:

"Look out from my porch over the pastures
Nothin' looks the same as it did last year
Changing faster than the wind can blow
Trying to carry me along
How the hell does one know when they’re ready?
Some men drift like tumbleweeds
Chasing dreams and fantasies
Restless as a northern on the prairie
Resting under western stars
Out here where the wild things are
Feels safer than where any road will get me
Lord, let me live a life that’s Homesteady...."

In addition to "Homesteady (Home Demo)," Flatland Cavalry has been active throughout 2024, releasing a steady stream of music including compilation album "Flatland Forever," celebrating their 10-year journey.

Flatland Cavalry continues to gain recognition in the country music scene. They received their first ACM Awards nomination for Group of the Year and earned their first RIAA certification with "A Life Where We Work Out" being certified Gold.

The band is set to close out 2024 with their first headline arena show at Fort Worth's Dickies Arena on December 31.
