Cyndi Thomson Releases New Single "Acres of Diamonds" from Upcoming EP
Cyndi Thomson has started 2025 with a bang, releasing her latest single, "Acres of Diamonds," on January 17, 2025. This new track serves as the lead single from her highly anticipated upcoming EP, set to release in May 2025. The new song, co-written by Thomson, Dan Wilson, and Jessica Roadcap, reflects on finding beauty in everyday life and appreciating the treasures often overlooked.
In addition to "Acres of Diamonds," Thomson has been active in releasing new music in preparation for her new EP. In 2024, she released singles such as "The Georgia In Me" and "Silent Night". These releases, along with "Acres of Diamonds," signal a new chapter in Thomson's musical career, blending her signature sound with mature, introspective songwriting.
Thomson's musical journey began in Tifton, Georgia, where she grew up as the youngest of four sisters. Her passion for singing started in church and later expanded to high school performances and talent pageants. After moving to Nashville to pursue her dreams, Thomson's career took off rapidly. She secured a publishing deal and a major label record contract, leading to the release of her debut album "My World" in 2001.
The debut album was a significant success, becoming certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America and establishing Thomson as a rising star in country music. Her first single, "What I Really Meant to Say," spent three weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts, marking an impressive start to her career.
Shortly after the release of her new album, Thomson chose to step away from the music scene to explore other creative pursuits, including jewelry design with her company Haybelle Co.
