Cole Swindell Releases Deeply Personal Reimagining of "Forever To Me"
Cole Swindell, the multi-platinum country music superstar and ACM Award-winner, has released a new track titled "Forever To Me - Our Version" through Warner Music Nashville on February 14, 2025. This release is a special remix of his original song "Forever To Me," which was written as a tribute to his wife, Courtney Little Swindell, before their wedding.
The original "Forever To Me" has been climbing the country charts, currently sitting in the Top 10, with over 13M streams on Spotify alone. This new version, released on Valentine's Day, includes never-before-seen footage from Cole and Courtney's wedding, adding a personal touch to the already emotionally charged song.
Swindell, born in Bronwood, Georgia, has become a prominent figure in country music since his debut. He co-wrote "Forever To Me" with Greylan James and Rocky Block, showcasing his songwriting prowess that has been a hallmark of his career. The song's lyrics paint a vivid picture of finding lasting love, with lines like "She gave eighteen summers to Carolina/ Spent a few more wild and free/ Gave a long shot chance to a Georgia boy in Tennessee".
In addition to "Forever To Me - Our Version," Swindell has been busy with other releases. He recently unveiled "Kill A Prayer," a song that demonstrates his knack for vivid storytelling. This track, along with "One Day," "3 Feet Tall," and "Forever To Me," will be featured on his upcoming fifth studio album for Warner Music Nashville.
Swindell's musical journey began after graduating from Georgia Southern University in 2007, where he was a member of the same fraternity as Luke Bryan. He moved to Nashville and initially worked selling merchandise for Bryan before breaking into songwriting. His self-titled debut album was released in 2014, featuring hits like "Chillin' It" and "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight".
Throughout his career, Swindell has released four studio albums and thirteen singles, with eight reaching the top of the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. His discography includes notable works such as "You Should Be Here," a heartfelt tribute to his late father, and "She Had Me at Heads Carolina," a reimagining of Jo Dee Messina's 1996 hit.
