Cole Goodwin Releases New Single "Catchin' On"
Cole Goodwin, independent singer-songwriter from Georgia, has released his new track "Catchin' On" on December 27, 2024. Goodwin announced the release on his Instagram account, sending out holidays wishes to his followers.
Goodwin has been actively releasing music throughout 2024. Earlier in the year, he released "When You Get Home," a fiddle and steel-infused song about distance in a relationship. This track gained significant traction on social media, with a TikTok performance video garnering over 400,000 views and 20,000 likes. Goodwin co-wrote "When You Get Home" with Will Moseley, and the song came together spontaneously during a writing session in Nashville.
In addition to "When You Get Home," Goodwin released "What Dad Did" on June 14, 2024. He describes this as possibly his favorite song he's ever written, a stripped-down acoustic piece dedicated to his father.
Cole Goodwin's musical journey began in his youth, influenced by artists like Hank Williams Jr., Charlie Daniels, and early 2000s country artists such as Eric Church, Jason Aldean, and Justin Moore. He released his debut EP, "Soon Enough," in 2023, which marked his introduction to the country music world.
Throughout 2024, Goodwin has been touring the Southeast, playing honky-tonks and clubs, as well as opening shows for artists like Austin Snell, Conner Smith, and Zach Top.
As Goodwin continues to build his career, he has hinted at more unreleased material, stating that he has "a lot of stuff in the vault" that he is sorting through for future releases. With the release of "Catchin' On," Cole Goodwin caps off a productive year in 2024, further establishing himself in the country music scene.
