Chase Wright Releases New Single "It Was Always You"

Chase Wright, the rising country music star from Indiana, has released his latest single "It Was Always You" on January 17, 2025.
When announcing the new track on his Facebook page, Wright explains "This song speaks to the raw, unspoken parts of an unfortunate side of some relationships. This song has hit me deep, and I hope it connects with you the same way. Sometimes, the toughest truths are the ones we need to face".
This release follows Wright's sophomore album "Letting Go," which was launched on September 6, 2024. The album showcases Wright's musical progression, blending emotive storytelling with charismatic vocals and energetic music that crosses the boundaries between pop, rock, and country. "Letting Go" features twelve tracks, including singles like "Memory," "Never Been Done," and "Tonight I Wanna Cry".
Wright's journey in music began during his college years at DePauw University, where he studied economics and was a track star. Inspired by Sam Hunt's story of learning guitar in college, Wright picked up the instrument and began teaching himself through YouTube videos. His musical influences are diverse, ranging from Usher and Goo Goo Dolls to Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban, with the latter two significantly impacting his current sound.
After graduating, Wright moved to Nashville in 2018 to pursue his music career seriously. He released his debut album "Intertwined" in 2021, which garnered millions of streams and views. The song "Wish You'd Miss Me" from this album became particularly significant for Wright, impacting his career in a major way and helping to establish his presence in the country music scene.
As of 2025, Chase Wright has amassed a significant following, with more than 130,000 subscribers on his official YouTube channel. His music has been streamed over 275 million times across various platforms, and he has been recognized as one of Spotify's Hot Country Artists to Watch, a SiriusXM Highway Find, and one of Pandora's Artists to Watch.
