Bryce Leatherwood Releases New Country Track "Where The Bar Is"

Bryce Leatherwood, the 24-year-old country singer/songwriter from Woodstock, Georgia, has released a new track titled "Where The Bar Is" on January 24, 2025. This latest release is part of Leatherwood's debut album, which is set to be released in the spring of 2025.
"Where The Bar Is" is a country-rock fusion that pays homage to the bars where Leatherwood started his musical journey. The song, written by Chase McGill, Cole Taylor, Michael Carter, and Shane Minor, is an ode to open bars and enjoying a beer with friends. Leatherwood commented on the song, saying, "When I first heard the demo for this song it got stuck in my head immediately. It took me back to when I was just starting out and playing with my band at Georgia Southern".
Leatherwood's musical journey began during his summers spent on his grandfather's farm, where he was exposed to classic country hits by George Jones, Merle Haggard, and Conway Twitty. This early influence shaped his passion for traditional country music. He later formed his band in 2021 while attending Georgia Southern University, where he honed his skills playing at college venues across the Southeast.
The singer's career took a significant turn when he won Season 22 of NBC's "The Voice" in December 2022, under the mentorship of country star Blake Shelton. Following his victory, Leatherwood signed with Republic Records and Universal Music Group Nashville in October 2023.
Since winning "The Voice," Leatherwood has been actively releasing new music. His debut single, "The Finger," was released during the Season 24 finale of "The Voice". He followed this with "Neon Does" in February 2024, which he co-wrote. In April 2024, he released "The One My Daddy Found," a tribute to his mother and his parents' 25-year marriage.
Leatherwood's first country radio single, "Hung Up on You," was released on September 6, 2024. The song became the "most added" on country radio at the time of its release, with 45 different country radio stations adding it to their playlists. This success was followed by Leatherwood's debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry on September 14, 2024, which he later described as "the best night of [his] life".
As of January 2025, Leatherwood continues to work on his debut album while releasing singles that showcase his commitment to traditional country sounds fused with contemporary elements. His journey from a small-town Georgia boy to a rising country music star exemplifies his dedication to carrying the torch of country music's legacy.
