BlackByrd Unveils New Track "In Your Hands," as Part of New Album "Praise"

BlackByrd released their latest track "In Your Hands" on December 12, 2024. The song makes up part of the new 10-track album, "Praise," showcasing BlackByrd's signature blend of pop and country influences and featuring the group's harmonious vocals.

The group, originally formed in 2012, has undergone recent changes in its lineup. Currently, BlackByrd consists of Tarryn Lamb and two new members, Tasha and Tasche Burger, who were introduced in May 2024. With this new line-up, the trio have released previous singles "Didn't I" and "You Do You."

BlackByrd's sound is firmly rooted in pop-country, with their music often featuring ballads about love and heartbreak. The group's formation began when Tarryn Lamb posted an advertisement on Gumtree, seeking musicians to start an all-girl group. Within months of forming, they were signed by EMI and released their debut album, "Strong."

Throughout their career, BlackByrd has achieved significant success in the South African music scene. They have won two South African Music Awards for their albums, including Best Duo or Group Award. The group has also performed as opening acts for international artists such as Mike + The Mechanics, Patrizio Buanne, and Jamiroquai
