Anna Vaus Kicks Up Country "Dust" in 2025 with Latest Single

Anna Vaus, the Southern California-born country singer-songwriter, has released her latest single "Dust" on January 10, 2025. This new track showcases Vaus's evolution as an artist and her unique blend of West Coast cool with refreshing hooks and relatable lyrics.

Vaus's musical journey began in her childhood in San Diego, California, where she grew up in a creative household with a singer-songwriter father and a journalist mother. She started writing and performing at a young age, finding solace in music as a means of expression. Her early influences included female storytellers like Taylor Swift, The Chicks, and Kacey Musgraves, as well as iconic artists such as Stevie Nicks and Joni Mitchell.

After moving to Nashville to pursue her music career, Vaus attended Belmont University, where she became the first recipient of the Miranda Lambert Women Creators Fund. She signed a publishing deal with Black River Entertainment during her junior year and later found a new publishing home with Big Machine Music.

Vaus's music has been likened to that of Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, and Maggie Rogers. She describes her genre as "Laurel Canyon Country," aiming to capture the feeling of driving down the California coast. Her debut album, set to release in spring 2025, is described by Vaus as "a return to myself".

In addition to her solo work, Vaus has had songs recorded by notable artists such as Keith Urban, Maddie & Tae, and Carly Pearce. She has also performed at prestigious venues like The Grand Ole Opry and The Bluebird Cafe, and has toured with artists including Willie Nelson.
